Day 2: Building a Cloud-Controlled RC Car ☁️🚗 Yesterday was the idea. Today was getting my hands dirty 🔧 I took my old RoboRace PVC bot (literally half-dead 💀), tore it down, fixed broken wires, extended connections, and tried bringing it back to life. Then I mounted an ESP32 + L298N motor driver, powered it with Li-ion batteries, uploaded the code, and started testing movement. For now, I’m using Blynk just to test logic and motion — but this is temporary 👀 The goal is a custom controller + DIY SIM-style steering setup, all sending commands over the internet (MQTT / cloud). Current issues? • Uneven motor performance • One motor completely dead • Possible power distribution issues + old motors That’s part of the process. Next steps: new motors, better power system, cleaner wiring, and real cloud control. This isn’t just an RC car — it’s a real-world IoT + robotics experiment built on a student budget.
