watch me get absolutely destroyed by @passion_project_pilates’s Pilates class recently - those lunges were killer 💪🏼🥵 this was one of my first times trying different moves on a Pilates chair vs. a reformer and I loved it! The reformer will always be my fav, but this was a fun way to switch it up and try new things. Brittney’s classes always challenge me in the best way! wearing @yololifeshop grip socks, of course 🤍 #pilates #pilateschair #s2sfunctionalperformance Pilates near me, Pilates chair workout, Frisco, Pilates workout

Check out my program, SuperFunctional Training 3: SUPERMOVER - link in Bio! *** When it comes to any given exercise, going very slow is often much harder than performing the movement quickly. There are a few reasons for this. Firstly: when you go slow, you change the strength curve. Because there is no momentum that normally allows you to bypass certain positions, you need to maintain a much more consistent effort all the way through the motion. This, of course, builds strength in a much greater variety of positions and angles. Secondly: you are required to exert far greater precision and control. To move slowly, you need to engage just the right number of motor units to product the perfect amount of force for very slight movement. This isn’t about one explosion of force - it’s about perfectly controlling the *amount* of force at every moment. Of course, going slowly will utilise more slow twitch muscle fibre. Only once all of that has been fully exhausted will your body be forced to utilise fast twitch. This is the point at which you start shaking - because each large motor unit that gets recruited represents a much bigger “step change” in overall power output. You’ll notice I’m forced to go slightly faster right at the bottom, most challenging point, in the one arm push up for this very reason! Then there’s the endurance aspect. As ever, I’m not saying slow is better. I’m saying: do both! #functionalstrength #functionalfitness #musclecontrol #calisthenics #movementtraining

This entire session ties together ankle stiffness, knee stability, hip control, and sprint mechanics. When those work together, you run faster, jump higher, and cut sharper without breaking down mid-season. • Pogos — 3 × 20 sec Quick, light bounces off the ground. Trains ankle stiffness and fast ground contact — key for acceleration. • Pogo Vertical Jumps — 3 × 20 Adds vertical intent while staying reactive. Teaching your body to be springy, not slow. • KB Marching Pattern — 3 × 20 steps Improves sprint mechanics, balance, and single-leg control. If you can’t control one leg, you can’t sprint efficiently. • Single-Leg Glute Bridge — 3 × 20 sec Builds glute strength and hip stability. Strong hips protect your knees and improve top speed. • KB Split Squat Hold — 3 × 30 sec/side Strengthens the quads and patellar tendon. Builds knee durability for jumping, cutting, and landing. All together, this session builds: ✔️ Stronger tendons ✔️ Better balance ✔️ Faster ground contact ✔️ More explosive movement Foundation first. Explosiveness second. #sportsperformance #trainsmart #explosiveathlete

Playing around with @1080motion. I really love the smooth resistance on this machine—and the fact that it records all my movements. I planned to do a force-velocity profile, but I didn’t do enough research. I thought 30m would be enough, but when I checked the data, it showed that I needed to run for more than 5 seconds to get valid results. So I’ll redo it next time. It’s not shown in the video, but I also did some heavy resistance work and focused on a 10m drive phase, working on hip drive and staying low instead of popping up out of the blocks. #strengthandconditioning #sprint #1080motion
