Two minutes in hot water makes a big difference in softness.
Once the Grommet cools, it tightens up and bites onto the spine perfectly.

SCWe've been stocking the 11mm Grommet for a while now, designed primarily for screwgate carabiners.
The new 9mm Grommet is built for the spine of double or triple action carabiners. It’s a bit wider, 2mm smaller in diameter, and the tag is in a different orientation to the 11mm.
Pop the Grommet in hot water for a few minutes before using a blunt edge to help you slide the Grommet in place.
If you can slide the Grommet on with your fingers while it’s cold, it’s not going to tighten up and seat well and will likely be too loose on the spine of the biner to be a good solution.

SCHow do you scan an NFC tag with an Android phone?
The location of a phone’s NFC antenna changes between phone brands, and between models.
The antenna is always located on the back of the phone, but it can be anywhere: top, middle, or bottom.
We suggest slowly running the NFC tag along the back of your Android phone until you get a scan. Try to scan the same spot next time and you should get a scan straight away.
Some Android devices come with NFC turned off, make sure it’s turned on if you can’t get a scan!
And it's good practice to place your NFC tags with your phone's NFC reader in mind – make sure the reader can reach the tags before applying!

iPhone models 7 and onwards are NFC enabled.
