There is actually no such thing as a *money block.* I was walking my dog this morning and it hit me — the language we use in this industry matters. I hear coaches constantly talking about: “Your money block.” “Clearing money blocks.” “Releasing money blocks.” Here’s the problem. In **Neuro-Linguistic Programming**, brain chemistry, and neural wiring — there is no clinical or neurological concept called a “block.” Not once in five NLP certifications did we study “blocks.” We studied patterns. We studied conditioning. We studied state, identity, belief structures, and nervous system responses. A “block” implies something is lodged in you. Something broken. Something you have to dig out. That framing keeps people searching for the magical release moment. What’s actually happening? You are running a learned pattern. A protective response. A strategy your nervous system adopted at some point that made sense at the time. Patterns can be updated. Beliefs can be restructured. States can be regulated. Identity can evolve. But you are not blocked. If your income isn’t where you want it to be, it’s not because something mystical is stopping you. It’s because your internal architecture is calibrated to a certain financial set point — and it will defend that calibration until you consciously retrain it. Language shapes identity.
