Catnip doesn’t seem to phase Molly as much as it used to, but I heard valerian root and silver vine are great catnip alternatives so we gave those a try. She actually loves the silver vine because she started playing with her toys immediately after sprinkling it on but I think smelling it like that was just too much, but I thought it smelled nice!
Valerian root, on the other hand has a really weird smell and she had no reaction to her toys with it. Have you ever tried silver vine or valerian root?

FRQuand on prépare une nouvelle recette pour chat 🐱, surtout pour des chats de ferme ou errants, il ne suffit pas juste de leur donner… il faut les habituer. Les chats sont naturellement méfiants. Ils vont sentir, hésiter, et parfois bouder… même si c’est excellent pour eux.
Chaque jour, on leur en offre un peu. Petit à petit, ils associent la friandise à quelque chose de bon. Et le jour où ils découvrent vraiment le goût — l’herbe à chat, le silver vine, et les autres ingrédients qu’ils adorent — c’est gagné : ils en redemandent.
Combien de temps ça prend ? Ça dépend de chaque chat. Certains craquent en 2-3 jours, d’autres mettent 1 à 2 semaines. L’important, c’est la régularité. Et oui… même nos chats errants, pas vraiment apprivoisés, finissent par venir réclamer leur moulée et leur petite gâterie. 🐾
