AIThere’s a special kind of calm I find in my kitchen when I’m creating. Today, I’m leaning into the creamy richness of Shea butter soap base, my favorite way to bring a little luxury into the everyday.
I love watching the smooth base melt, knowing it’s going to leave my skin feeling incredibly soft. To add a bit of nature’s edge, I’m layering in golden luffa slices and a sprinkle of poppy seeds. It’s not just about making soap, it’s about the tactile joy of textures and the way my favorite scent fills the room as I pour.

SARemember when I mentioned that the sugars in honey 🍯 can act like a catalyst in saponification? 🫧 Ask me how I know 😵💫🤣
I promise things aren’t *always* this chaotic in my soap studio 😬 I have been soaping much warmer since switching my main formula to a high percentage of tallow. While all of my other soaps are just fine at those higher temps and being wrapped to force gel, I neglected to consider that the honey soap would NOT tolerate that! 🐝🍯
