POV: You're touring a lab that's out of this world In this video, NASA astronaut Zena Cardman shows us around the @ISS, where she lived in low Earth orbit for over five months as part of our SpaceX Crew-11 mission. The entire space station is roughly the size of a football field, and the living and working space within it is larger than a six-bedroom house at just under 14,000 cubic feet of habitable volume. In this clip, Cardman first pops into the docked Dragon spacecraft to peek out of its window. After that, she maneuvers through the space station, ending up in the cupola. This video gives a first-person view of what it’s like to move inside the International Space Station (ISS). In the clip, NASA astronaut Zena Cardman takes viewers on a tour of the orbiting laboratory where astronauts live and work while circling Earth in low Earth orbit. Because there is microgravity in space, everything floats, allowing astronauts to move smoothly through the station’s modules by gently pushing themselves from one place to another. During the tour, she enters the docked Dragon spacecraft and looks out of its window before continuing through different parts of the station, eventually reaching the cupola, a special windowed module used to observe Earth and space. The video shows how unique life and work are aboard the ISS, a structure about the size of a football field that serves as humanity’s laboratory in space. 🚀 #nasa #iss #space #usa #spacex

NASA astronaut Zena Cardman takes us on an amazing tour inside the International Space Station (ISS), which orbits about 250 miles above Earth in low Earth orbit, as part of the SpaceX Crew-11 mission where she lived and worked in space for over five months. The ISS is an incredibly large structure floating in space — roughly the size of a football field on the outside, while the living and working space inside is bigger than a six-bedroom house, with nearly 14,000 cubic feet of room for the astronauts to move around in. In the video, Cardman first enters the docked Dragon spacecraft, which is the SpaceX capsule attached to the station, and looks out of its window to show viewers the view from space. She then floats and maneuvers her way through the narrow corridors and connected modules of the space station, eventually reaching the cupola, which is a special dome-shaped room with large windows that gives astronauts a breathtaking 360-degree view of Earth and outer space below and around them. This video gives ordinary people a rare and exciting first-person look at what daily life and the working environment looks like for astronauts living far above our planet.

📖Living in space requires the ultimate high-tech “apartment,” and NASA astronaut Zena Cardman is giving us a look inside. As the commander of the SpaceX Crew-11 mission, she recently spent over five months aboard the International Space Station (ISS). This tour shows how astronauts manage daily life in microgravity, from the science labs where they conduct groundbreaking research to the compact living quarters of the Dragon capsule. It’s a perfect example of how billions of dollars in technology allow humans to survive and thrive in one of the most extreme environments imaginable. 📖Something as simple as changing a camera battery becomes a completely different challenge when you are floating 250 miles above Earth in zero gravity. NASA astronaut Don Pettit is aboard the International Space Station demonstrating exactly how everyday tasks become genuinely complicated when there is no up, no down and no gravity to keep anything in place. Drop the battery and it floats away into one of the most complex and cable filled environments ever built by humans. Astronauts spend months training for tasks that take us seconds on Earth. This is what life looks like on the ISS every single day and it never gets less fascinating. Could you handle living like this?
