For a long time, I was paying $3.99 for a half-gallon of spring water (in plastic!) or $2.99 for a 33oz bottle when I need to drink about 64oz per day. Now? I purchase fresh, high-quality toxic-free spring water for only $0.50 per gallon at @cedarseederfarm in Snellsville, GA 💦 Here’s the math: I fill up my 3 five-gallon glass jugs—15 gallons—for just $7.50. (And honestly, I always tip, so it’s a more, but you get the drift!) Rosemary Hair Mist 🌿 For scalp, hair, body I’m contemplating a digital product (a guide of sorts, perhaps) and even a substack. I’d love to hear some feedback & even ideas. Would this product/medium be helpful to dive into topics like this at more depth? Ingredients: 5 large sprigs of Rosemary 5-6 cups of Spring Water or, Distilled Water Filtered water to rinse Rosemary Recipe: • I harvest 5 large sprigs of fresh rosemary • Wash well with filtered water • Completely pat dry the rosemary • Give a little pound to release the rosemary magic (I use a mortar & pestle, you can use a rolling pin and the end of a flat wooden tool of sorts) • Boil 5-6 cups of spring water or distilled water • Bring to a boil in a stainless steel pan (no non stick around here) • Pop in the rosemary when boiling Immediately reduce to a simmer • Place to lid on to simmer away for 20 minutes • Turn off heat after 20 minutes • Keep the pot on the same burner, which will allow the pot to gently cool over time • I do this in the evenings & let it sit until morning (8-14 hours) • The next morning, I sieve out the amber liquid and put into sanitized glass spray jars & glass storage containers • Pop them into the fridge - there’s no preservative in here, so it needs to be refrigerated ❤️ • I will go on to make 2/3rd batches with the same rosemary. • I use the 2nd and 3rd batches with less tannins for face mists Checkout FallingFruit.org (also an app)- for urban harvesting. This is not sponsored - merely a recommendation. It’s a resource that allows you to locate fruit, medicinals, edibles - in your urban area. Basically - what’s growing in public parks, along roadsides, hikes/trails, public spaces, areas with access for foraging and more. It shows a map that gives detailed information about what’s growing near you, the season it will be available - sometimes down to the month & even comments from users about locating the plants. I love this database to my core, I think you will too. You can search for specific things in their search bar too. It’s an app and website! The mobile website is a little hard to use, so I suggest desktop or app version.
