Common mistakes that we see as trainers: ❌ rounded back/spine ✅ neutral spine ❌ knees caving in ✅ knees stacked over ankles ❌ weight on toes ✅ weight on heels Full step by step squat tutorial: 1. Feet hip width apart, chest up, eyes forward 2. Keep a neutral spine, and core engaged 3. Push hips back as if sitting on a stool behind you 4. On descend, knees over ankles, avoid caving 5. Keep feet flat 6. On the way up, drive through your heels 7. Squeeze glutes at the top (but don’t use your lower back, just glutes) Once you’re coming down, if you find that your back is rounding, it’s likely too deep for you. Everyone’s range of motion is different based on their anatomy and mobility! Work on it and you may be able to get a deeper squat, but first focus on perfecting your form. You’ve got this!
