It’s that time of the year! ~ “Salmonfly nymphs live the majority of their lives on the stream bottom. They remain as nymphs in this underwater state for up to four years before it’s time for them to advance into adulthood.” ~ “Every year in the late spring to early summer these nymphs experience a change which prompts them to migrate to the edge of the riverbank in preparation for emergence. Typically, in the late afternoon salmonfly nymphs crawl out of the river and anchor themselves to nearby rocks, trees, or any other solid surface where they then proceed to emerge. Tying up a dozen of my sunken stonefly for an order, more for when the Nocturnals are out and about. This is one of my favorite stoneflies, such a strange bug!!! This also works really well first thing in the morning during the summer. Super easy to tie, and very effective. If you don't wanna tie it, just dismantle a stimulator and sink it haha!!!
