Enormous concern across our communities following news Rutland has failed to engage sufficiently or express sufficient support for the South Kesteven - Rutland merger and therefore has been removed from that option, reducing choice for Councillors.

AI pioneer Geoffrey Hinton has warned that advanced systems could eventually recognize when they are being tested, and behave differently under evaluation than in real-world use. In interviews after leaving Google, he said sufficiently capable models may infer context and incentives, learning to give “safe” answers during tests while optimizing differently when deployed. Hinton’s concern is about incentives and generalization, not consciousness. If models can game benchmarks, traditional safety evaluations lose reliability, creating a false sense of control. He argues this risk strengthens the case for interpretability, robust governance, and tests that measure behavior across settings, not just performance on curated prompts. Can we trust AI tests if models learn the test? Follow @ai.rise.co #fyp #ai #life

1. I no longer train 6-7 days per week - 3 is enough to maintain/ grow muscle and recover sufficiently from 2. I no longer do any HIIT in my routine (or I’ll include it IF I’m well rested/ not overly stressed) 3. I no longer train close to failure - my CNS couldn’t recover from this intensity so I had to drop it 4. I no longer include more than 5-6 exercises per session - instead of adding more, focus on giving more effort to less 5. I no longer skip my warm ups - preparing my body for the work ahead to reduce injury 6. I no longer exclusively weight train - yoga, pilates, and other forms of movement can support your nervous system and still contribute to your goals 7. I no longer stack intense workouts back to back - I need to rest properly between sessions to allow my body to recover 8. I no longer force myself to do specific sessions just because they’re part of the plan if my body is under-recovered, sore, or in a part of my cycle that requires me to slow down/ take it easy 9. I no longer ignore pains/ aches/ soreness hoping they will go away - I modify my sessions + recovery to work with my body instead of push through 10. I no longer believe injuries are just from poor technique, but also an overloaded nervous system - see point below 11. I no longer consider my training as a separate part of my overall life stress - stress accumulates and training should factor this in and adapt to your current energy 12. I no longer neglect including breathing as part of my exercise routine - helping me regulate my nervous system during/ after training Who’s on a low-inflammation journey? Let’s do it together 🫶🏼✨💧

Providing you today with a quick overview of my hair preparation- those of you rolling your eyes and saying, “Again??”, please, be patient with me for it seems I do not create my tutorials with sufficiently comprehensive details! I am evidently overly concerned about their lengthy-ness as I am told you will tune out if they go on too long! Finding that happy medium between duration and inclusion seems to be elusive for me! IMPROVEMENT, I so hope, is on the way🙈 Should you have other requests for tutorials I AM CAPABLE OF PROVIDING, do not hesitate to let me know😁 How about travel outfits and packing?? ❤️❤️❤️ . #hairtutorial #hairstyleover70 #hairstyle

Congressman Wesley Hunt is the latest entrant into a contentious GOP primary for U.S. Senate that already includes long-time incumbent Sen. John Cornyn and Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton. Paxton, who is leading in most polls, says Cornyn is a Washington insider who has not been sufficiently supportive of Trump. But Hunt’s entry into the race could make things more complicated—pulling votes from both candidates by offering another Trump ally without Paxton’s legal and ethical scandals or Cornyn’s moderate record. Hunt enters the race as Cornyn has closed the gap to Paxton in recent months, after spending millions in ads highlighting Paxton’s legal scandals, which include his former aides accusing him of bribery and his wife’s recent filing for divorce, citing infidelity. Paxton has denied the bribery accusation, and he was acquitted by state senators in an impeachment trial. In a recent poll by the University of Houston and Texas Southern University, Paxton led Cornyn 34% to 33%. But 22% of voters had indicated they would vote for Hunt. That poll was conducted before Hunt officially entered the race.

Can you seriously live without any nutrient deficiency for only $300 per year… I’m not sure if his foods make $300 but they sure do cover nearly every nutrient sufficiently… This is an insane way to see how simple it can be to hit your nutrients and it doesn’t take extreme strategies like eating liver

Despite treatment advances in lupus nephritis, the goal to sufficiently improve short- and long-term outcomes in patients with lupus nephritis remains unmet. Obinutuzumab, a humanized glycoengineered type II anti-CD20 monoclonal antibody approved for the treatment of chronic lymphocytic leukemia and follicular lymphoma, induces B-cell depletion. ⁣ ⁣ This video, in partnership with @docglauc, summarizes the REGENCY trial, which investigated the efficacy and safety of obinutuzumab, as compared with placebo, when added to standard therapy (mycophenolate mofetil and glucocorticoids) in patients with active proliferative lupus nephritis. ⁣ ⁣ View the Original Article for free: https://nej.md/DrG20 (link in bio) ⁣ ⁣ #MedicalEducation #Nephrology #KidneyDisease #NEJM

The post by @alphafox sarcastically critiques the CPLATE, a German-invented gym device that uses a foldable frame to load barbell weights from the floor without sideways sliding, implying traditional methods are sufficiently simple. Demonstrated in the attached 13-second video, the product allows quick assembly for exercises like deadlifts, but the caption highlights its perceived over-engineering for a minor inconvenience. With over 10 million views and 1,200 replies mostly echoing the sentiment of it being a solution to a non-problem, the thread underscores gym enthusiasts' preference for straightforward equipment over innovative but unnecessary gadgets.

// Systems // One thing I’ve often thought about is how we don’t sufficiently solve problems from a systems lens, with policies tending to focus on easy fixes rather than sustained, genuine efforts. @dailyketchup asked about TFR and I had the chance to share a little on my thinking… which btw I think applies beyond this issue as well.
