ACMy supervisor is the best.
She’s a goddess, and I’m such a huuuuuge fan.
I’m not saying this just to be polite, but I genuinely love not just her work, but her as a person.
She has been so present in my research life despite her super busy schedule.
She never refused an appointment with me even if she had only 15 minutes.
And she has no idea how meaningful those 15 minutes were to me.
When my father passed and I was unsure about my career, she was the one who extended her arms.
Honestly, I don’t think I would have come this far in academia if it wasn’t for her.
That’s why finishing my PhD kind of terrified me.
Because I knew I would have to (mostly) walk on my own.
Yes, she has continued to be there for me even after I finished my PhD.
But it’s different.
I have to accept that she has other students to take care of.
I know I am faaaaaaaaaar from being the amazing scholar my supervisor is.
But I’m trying. I will keep trying.
I want to make her proud 💪
I hope one day I can be a supervisor and support my students just like my supervisor did for me 🤍
