No, seriously - it truly depends on what it is that you want for your eyebrows. Finest, thinnest strokes? Microblading. Fluffy, dimensional strokes? Nano.
AND THEN. It depends on your skin and your natural eyebrow hairs.
If your skin is smooth like a banana peel, you’re a good candidate for either.
If your skin is textured like an orange peel, you’re probably a better candidate for nano.
If your eyebrow hairs grow flush against your skin, you’re a good candidate for either.
If your eyebrow hairs grow outward/away from your skin, you’re probably a better candidate for nano.
Microblading uses several needles (often 16 to 18 needles) in one sweep to tattoo each hairstroke/pull a line. The procedure is much quicker than nano brows/machine hairstrokes due to the amount of needles dragging ink through the skin.
Nano brows/machine hairstrokes uses a needle cartridge (often times only 1 or 3 needles) and a machine to tattoo each hairstroke dot by dot. All them little dots eventually pull a line. The procedure takes MUCH longer than microblading due to building up an entire eyebrow, dot by dot, with a single needle 😅
Longevity-wise, I know you’re wondering - which is better?
THAT depends on your PMU (permanent makeup) artist.
Either procedure can go SEVERELY wrong if your artist isn’t properly trained.
