I saw this video and it immediately made me think of the Moms and Dads I have the honor of working with everyday. They literally fly across the world, sacrifice everything to help their child. They inspire me and my staff everyday. What they are looking for and what they need is real answers, solutions and ultimately results and change. We work our hardest everyday to provide this along with Hope. That’s why our sign in all our reception areas is “Hope Lives Here”

Lions, known scientifically as Panthera leo, are the only truly social big cats, living in complex family groups called prides. A typical pride consists of related females, their offspring, and a small coalition of resident males who protect the group's territory from intruders. While the males are easily recognized by their impressive manes—which serve as a sign of health and protection during fights—it is the lionesses who do the majority of the hunting. Working together in coordinated teams, they use stealth and surrounding tactics to take down large prey like wildebeests, zebras, and buffalo. Across the African savannah and a small pocket of the Gir Forest in India, lions play a critical role as apex predators, keeping herbivore populations in check to maintain a healthy ecosystem. They spend much of their time resting, often sleeping up to 20 hours a day to conserve energy for the high-intensity bursts required for hunting and defending their pride. Communication within the pride is vital, involving a range of vocalizations from soft purrs to powerful roars that can be heard up to five miles away, as well as physical gestures like head-rubbing and nuzzling to strengthen social bonds.

Gorillas generally dislike rain, often showing disgust by making faces, hiding under foliage, or huddling together until it passes to stay dry and warm. Their dense fur absorbs water quickly, making them uncomfortable, which causes them to seek shelter, though some may exhibit curiosity rather than fear.

This looks like it belongs in Finding Nemo, but it’s a totally real (and incredible!) behavior. Mouth brooding in fish provides important advantages for safeguarding offspring. By holding the eggs or juveniles in their mouths, parents protect them from predators and environmental threats, keeping them safe until they mature. This method also aids oxygenation and temperature control, as the parent can more efficiently move to areas with better water quality. Video by @globaldivemedia

Crested mynas, like many birds, are born altricial—meaning they hatch underdeveloped and rely on their parents for food. At first, they’re completely dependent, with parents feeding them directly. As they grow, they must learn to find food on their own, realizing it won’t just appear in their beaks anymore. 🎥: @nearbirdstudios

👶 A toddler was walking straight toward a decorative fountain, completely unaware of the risk. 🐶 Before anything could happen, the German Shepherd stepped in and gently blocked the way. ⚡ No barking. No panic. Just pure instinct and protection. 💛 German Shepherds are known for their loyalty and natural guarding abilities, and this moment shows exactly why so many families trust them around their children. ✨ The baby stopped, stayed safe, and the dog calmly held his position like a true protector. 🤍 Some dogs are not just pets. They are guardians.
