The song playing is “They Don’t Care About Us,” one of his most powerful tracks about injustice and speaking out. Cerca de 7 mil fãs e 350 repórteres aguardavam ansiosos pelo anúncio, que aconteceu com duas horas de atraso em um palco improvisado. Durante o discurso, Jackson afirmou que aquelas seriam suas últimas apresentações em Londres antes da aposentadoria. “Quando digo ‘é isso’, quero dizer exatamente isso.” Inicialmente, apenas 10 shows estavam planejados, mas a procura foi tão enorme que a AEG Live adicionou mais 40 datas, totalizando 50 apresentações entre 2009 e 2010.
