GRILLED TOMATOES 🍅 truly the best summer side dish! fun fact: when we were in napa, the hotel we stayed at served a tomato like this everyday with breakfast and we were *obsessed* so I knew I had to come home and immediately try to recreate! 👏🏼 WHAT YOU NEED: - 4 medium tomatoes - 3 TB evoo - 3 TB balsamic vinegar - 1 TB minced garlic - 3 TB fresh oregano, chopped - salt & pepper to taste - 2 TB fresh basil, chopped WHAT TO DO: 1. Slice the tomatoes in half and set in a bowl. 2. In a small bowl, combine olive oil, balsamic, garlic, oregano & salt. Whisk together until full combined. (Safe a little for the end!) 3. Pour the dressing onto the tomatoes and toss to coat. 4. Prep for grilling by lining the tomatoes skin side down on a baking sheet. Drizzle the remaining dressing and top each tomato with a little more oregano, salt & pepper. 5. Grill face side down for 20 minutes, flipping at the halfway point. Watch closely at the end so they don’t get too soft and break! 6. Top with fresh basil & serve immediately! #tomato #tomatoes #summer #grilling #traeger

The secret to the best tomato confit is slow roasting at a relatively low temperature for about 1.5 hours. Confit (pronounced con-fee) is a cooking and preservation method where the food is cooked slowly, at a low temperature, usually with fat or/and sugar. ⭐️ Ingredients 20 ounces (500 grams) cherry tomatoes or other small tomatoes 2 tablespoons (30 grams) extra virgin olive oil 2 tablespoons (25 grams) sugar 2 cloves garlic (optional) 1 teaspoon salt 2 teaspoons dried oregano or thyme Slow roast in the oven for about 1 hour and 30 minutes at 300°F or 150°C. ❤️ Nico & Louise #tomatoes #sidedish

Ingredients - Tomatoes & Sun 🍅🌞 These Homemade Sundried tomatoes are so easy to make and are absolutely delicious on anything and everything 😋 . . Ingredients 750 grams cherry tomatoes 200ml Extra Virgin olive oil 4 pods garlic 1 tsp Italian seasoning 3-4 tsp sea salt - slice the tomatoes into half and lay them on a sheet pan, cut side up. - drizzle over some seal salt, enough to coat each tomato well. - now depending on how hot it is where you stay, these tomatoes can take 3-10 days to dry. - you’ll know they’re fully dry when there’s no more liquid coming out of them. - if you want to speed up the process, put them in the oven at the lowest temperature for 6-7 hours and that should do it. - once they’re dried, put them into a jar and layer with garlic and Italian seasoning. - carefully pour over hot olive oil into the jar, and submerge the tomatoes. - let the tomatoes sit in the oil for 2-3 days. - they’re ready to use after that and last up to 2 months in the fridge or a cool area. . . . #sundriedtomatoes #sundried #preserved #preservedtomatoes #yummy #condiments
