LUI decided I needed to explore Gippsland, or at least another part of Victoria, and Traralgon ended up being the place. I did not actually decide on Traralgon until early afternoon, it was between Traralgon and Warragul. I chose Traralgon because I had heard about the former Methodist church, which was last used as a visitor centre, and that it may once have faced possible demolition. From what I understand, luckily it was saved. Traralgon was a very cute town and I honestly wish I had spent longer there. For the first time, I got called an undertaker, but I also got some very lovely comments from locals too. It is sad that Traralgon has lost a lot of its historic architecture. When I arrived and saw the post office facade covered in scaffolding, it first made me a bit sad, but then excited me, because it meant the building was being cared for. I feel like Gippsland, and Traralgon especially, is somewhere I would happily return to another day.
