On April 10, 2001, a devastating explosion and fire destroyed the Fisher family home in Scottsdale, Arizona. Firefighters discovered the bodies of Mary Fisher and her two children inside the house. Mary had been shot in the head, and both children had their throats slit. The evidence suggested that the fire was deliberately set to cover up the murders. Robert Fisher was immediately identified as the prime suspect in the case. He was described as a skilled outdoorsman and survivalist with extensive knowledge of wilderness areas. Fisher was known to have a violent temper and was reportedly abusive towards his family. Following the murders, Robert Fisher disappeared without a trace. He was last seen on the evening of April 10, 2001, purchasing supplies at a local gas station. Authorities launched an intensive manhunt and investigation to locate Fisher, but he has evaded capture for over two decades. Robert Fisher was added to the FBI's Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list in 2002, where he remains to this day.
