UNYEARS AGO, when I was on my way to tour Australia, my 🥰 @jacqpot324 asked me to bring her back some UGGs! We were both in the apparel industry!! I had NO IDEA what she was talking about! I went there and the AVERAGE pair was $60/$70 for AUTHENTIC UGGS BEFORE they came to the US market!!! I racked up and brought back at least 6 pairs. Now they're cutting the Coke TOO MUCH!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Ugg are selling expensive low quality boots that were copied by the originators @since74_official
@since74_official was originally known as Ugg Australia Since 1974. Legally, they can no longer use the word “Ugg”, so they took that out. They are the true inventors and creators of the iconic classic “Uggs”.
@since74_official uses real leather and real sheepskin on all their boots and they are all handmade!

ELI was in a thrift store the other day and found the best pair of suede Ugg boots. Barely worn. Practically new. The kind of find that makes you stop breathing for a second because surely this does not just happen.
I sat right there on the little bench, determined. Wrestling my foot into that boot like it was a personal challenge from the universe. If I tried hard enough, if I angled just right, if I believed deeply enough… it had to work. Destiny, obviously.
I must have been there a while because when I finally looked up, there was an older woman standing next to me. She was just watching, smiling, not unkindly. The kind of smile that feels like it already knows the ending.
I laughed and told her I’d been wanting a pair exactly like this, that these were meant to be mine.
She nodded and said, “No matter how much you try, some things will never fit. And that’s not just shoes, my friend.”
It landed somewhere deep. Deeper than a thrift store aisle should allow.
Because haven’t I done that before? Sat with something beautiful in my hands, convinced that if I tried harder, waited longer, bent myself a little smaller, it would finally work? Relationships. Seasons. Expectations. Even versions of myself I thought I should be by now.
I’ve spent a lot of time forcing my feet into things that looked perfect but left me cramped, bruised, and wondering why walking felt so hard.
I handed the boots back to the rack. They were still beautiful. Still valuable. Just not for me.
And maybe that’s the lesson I didn’t know I needed. Not everything that looks right is meant to carry you forward. Some things are simply meant to be admired, learned from, and left behind.
