From my experience building VALERIA Inc. and Verie (RIP), I feel @jastookes when it comes to wearing ALL the hats from answering customer service emails, connecting with factory partners, strategic marketing, modelling the brand, etc. Entrepreneurship is often put on a pedestal and the payoff and fulfillment can be WELL worth it, but it’s rare to get to that point without getting scrappy and experiencing the rollercoaster of the day-to-day where things can be perfect one second and in complete disaster the next. The following description is in Olde English… “Full of grace and character, this moste wondrous dwelling doth lie in the verie heart of St Aubin, hard by the cobbled High Street. Believ’d to have first stood about the yeare of our Lord 1660, it hath through the ages beene lovingly restor’d, and now presenteth itself in walk-in condition. Within, there is a delightfull kitchen of farmhousen fashion, with a breakfaste bar and a dining-roome adjoining, together with a lounge of goodly size wherein standeth a logge-burner. Upon the firste storey are situate two double bed-chambers, both well-proportion’d, with a housen bath-roome. The uppermost loft containeth another bed-chamber, with a fourth attic roome, meete for studie or pastime. Without, there lieth a prettie enclosed court-yard garden, dispos’d over two levels, to which one maye enter either from the kitchen or from one bed-chamber. Though no on-site parking be provided, hired parking may be found nigh at hand, and manie publick car-parks abound. Set upon the cobbled part of St Aubin’s High Street, all thinges needfull are within walking distance: many taverns and houses of victual, a market of sundrie wares, barber and haberdasher, clothiers, and of course a car-free cycle-path, leading unto Towne the one waye, and unto Corbiere the other.” DM me for more information 👍
