I have quite big feet but it often means that I slop around in the shoe width… well not in these! And they are sooo cute! Which sandal is saving your feet and which one’s secretly causing your pain? Here’s my breakdown as a podiatrist: ✔️ Teva Classic – Great if you’ve got a bit of arch pain and need light support but if you have a very flat foot and need a lot of support, maybe not for you. ❌/✔️Flip-flop Rumba – Bit of a fad, I don’t believe in their arch support but not bad for Achilles tendinopathy. ✔️ Birkenstock Arizona – Firm, supportive, and ideal for overpronators. ✔️ Tread Labs Salinas – One of the best for plantar fasciitis if you walk a lot. I think it’s a really well made sandal, you’ll get a lot of miles out of it and it offers all the support you need ❌ Beach Jelly Flip-Flops – These are probably causing your foot pain. Bin them. ✔️ Vionic Tide II – Amazing for plantar fasciitis or posterior tibial tendinopathy. These are really supportive and well made but being a flip flops have their limitations ✔️ Clarks Arwell Glide – A smart sandal with arch support and great structure. ✔️ Oofos Slide – A must-have for home use with plantar fasciitis, a favourite recommendation of mine for my patients!
