_CLet’s talk intervals! 🎶
An interval is the distance between two notes.
To measure this distance, we use the major scale as our melodic ruler.
If the interval exists naturally within the major scale (starting on the lower note), we refer to it as:
• Major — for 2nds, 3rds, 6ths and 7ths
• Perfect — for unison, 4ths, 5ths and octaves
If the distance changes from the major scale, the interval quality adjusts to minor, diminished or augmented, depending on how the notes move.

An octave is considered Perfect.
