As locals, we’ve always known our region has an abundance of world class beaches. Whether it’s a morning swim or surf, spectacular sunrises, or a refreshing dip after school or work, it’s clear the Coffs Coast has some of the best coastal views in the country.
But now Woopi’s charm is no longer a secret, and bragging rights have been well and truly secured. We’re proud to say Woolgoolga Main Beach has just been named Mainland Australia’s Best Beach by Tourism Australia.
We’re not surprised Woopi Beach and its surrounding vibrant beachside village stood out among the rest. It’s great for the tourism industry and local businesses to see Woolgoolga getting the recognition it deserves.

WAThis is video is of todays 22km walk from Coffs Harbour to Woolgoolga, New South Wales!
I thought I would try to document with a compilation of snippets from todays journey! I thought I would make to most of being blessed with some sun for the first time in a long time !
I am going to try and do a small video each day for the next 14 days as I make way up the coast into Byron Bay !
This section is part of the Solitary Island Coastal Walk which stretches from Sawtell all the way to Red Rock!

FOWoolgoolga et Emerald beach 🦘🌱🌊
🦘Dès mon arrivée à Woolgoolga, je croise sur ma route un groupe de kangourous ! Après avoir posé mes affaires, je les rejoins directement au Centennial parc. Je les observe manger de l’herbe et se reposer avec la lumière du soir 🌆🌙
🏄🏼♀️ Je me dirige ensuite vers la plage. Il y avait des écoles de surf et les lumières étaient super jolies, par contre il y avait un vent fou ! 💨
🌊 Le lendemain, je pars pour une jolie balade nommée « Look at me now Headland ». On est sur une falaise et on longe l’océan avec des très jolies vues. 🌱
🦘Les habitants de cette zone sont des kangourous et avec la vue sur l’océan c’était vraiment joli ! Je continue ma balade jusqu’à atteindre une jolie vue sur Emerald beach.
🛕Au retour sur la route je croise des temples sikh, on se croirai en Asie pour quelques minutes.
