BEI swear magnetic snaps have this weird reputation in the sewing world. You can piece a whole tote, interface every panel, topstitch beautifully, turn it right side out and admire it… and somehow the snap is the part that makes you pause. Not because you can’t do it, but because it feels permanent. Like once you punch that little slit, there’s no going back.
So a lot of beginner bagmakers just skip it. You tell yourself it’s fine. The bag will stay closed enough. You’ll just be careful when you set it down in the car. And that hesitation makes sense. When you’ve put time into something, the last thing you want is to take a risk at the finish line.
