If power alone, without mercy and compassion, is the cornerstone of ethics for Nietzsche, then the goal of humanity should not be the elevation of all people but rather the advancement of the strong elite. Consequently, the ultimate aim of humanity is the Übermensch (the higher man). Therefore, the last thing thinkers should address is the improvement and reform of humanity; there is no reform for this humanity, and humanity does not exist under the shadow of Nietzsche's thought; it is merely a term. All that exists is a collection of individuals, and if we know that the highest type will not manifest in humanity, it would be better for society to perish. Society is merely a tool for enhancing the strength of the individual, not an end in itself.
I must say that those who love life want to move forward to reach the higher life. If we fail to achieve greatness (the will to power), we must be tools for the great one (the Übermensch), like those soldiers who sacrifice themselves for their leader. Even if they fall, they sing his name as they take their last breaths. If we are unable to be that higher human, we must pave the way for him, and we should all cooperate in creating him despite our differences. If Zarathustra were to see people united, working towards the goal of the higher human, he would say, "You who love today and are scattered will one day unite in one people. From you, a chosen people will arise, and from it, the higher human will be born." Thus spoke Zarathustra.
