CHThis tutorial came highly requested so I finally got around to making it! I apologize for not being the best at video tutorials but hopefully this makes sense!
These were plenty high waisted for me so I opted for not much of a “waistband”, but you can totally get creative with the waistband if you want!

Row 1:
make a magic ring
Ch 3 (counts as a dc), 2 more dc into ring
Ch 2, 3 dc into ring
Ch 2, 3 dc into ring
Ch 2, 3dc into ring
Turn your work
Row 2:
Ch 5 (counts as one dc + 2 ch)
3dc into the ch 2 space from previous row
Ch 2, 3 more dc into same space
3dc into next space, ch 2, 3dc into same space
3dc into next space, ch 2, 3dc into same space
Ch 2, one dc into the 3rd dc from previous row
Row 3:
Ch 3 (counts as a dc), 2 more dc into same space
3 dc into next space, ch 2, 3 dc into same space (this is a corner)
3 dc into next space
3 dc into next corner, ch 2, 3 dc into same corner
3 dc into next space
3 dc into next corner, ch 2, 3 dc into same corner
3 dc into next space
Row 4:
Ch 5 (counts as one dc + 2 ch)
3 dc into next space

Keep going with this pattern (3dc into gaps, 3dc-ch2-3dc into corners) until your piece is big enough to stretch from hip to hip
When making your granny stitch rounds (3dc into each gap) around the legs, decrease by one gap every row in the crotch area.
To decrease, begin a dc stitch into the first gap, don’t finish the dc, yarn over and insert hook into the next gap, then yarn over pull through 2, yarn over pull through 3, yarn over pull through remaining 2. Then make 2 more dc into same gap, and continue on as normal.
