#tsmaithemeparty — for the theme of discrimination, I decided to edit the anime “86.” This anime is about the Republic of San Magnolia, consisting of the Alba race (silver hair, silver eyes), at war with the Giad Empire. The Republic of San Magnolia boasts how they have 0 fatalities during their battle efforts ever since they have developed autonomous battle units called Juggernauts. However, unbeknownst to the public, the Juggernauts are far from being autonomous as they are piloted by the “Eighty-Six” (86), the minority population of the Republic, isolated to the 86th District and stripped of human rights, being forced into battle. As a result, the loss of the lives of 86 don’t count as a fatality as they are not deemed as humans (considered subhuman and even pigs).
Major Vladilena “Lena” Milize is a military officer of the Republic. She is assigned to handle the Spearhead Squadron (led by 86 Shinei “Undertaker” Nouzen) from afar, the elite unit of Juggernauts. Despite being an Alba herself from a well-known family, she has always been outspoken about the rights of the 86, sympathizing with them and trying to do away with this deep-rooted societal discrimination.
