My takeaways from module 2, session 2 of my amazing ADHD-informed coaching course with @adhd_untangled. The original session was called Neuroanatomy for Coaches with @drmiguelmateas, and it was such an interesting, in depth session about ADHD and the brain. I’ve tried to simplify it here. 🧐 It’s not that we can’t focus. 🧠 It’s that our brains find it hard to focus. 👍🏻 That’s it. You’ll know, one day you can concentrate for hours on something. As long as it’s interesting. The next day, you can’t even reply to an email. It’s not laziness. Our brains are inconsistent when it comes to managing energy and motivation. We don’t get a steady stream of motivation. We get it now and again. We don’t filter distractions very well so everything feels important all at once. And when everything feels important, it’s hard to decide where to start. 🎯 And that’s why most of the time, starting is harder than doing. So I’ve learnt that when coaching people with ADHD, it’s better to start with a check-in, and you can do this with yourself: 🤔 How are you today? ✅ Regulated? 🧘🏼‍♂️ Nervous system ok? ❌ Never put pressure on yourself to try harder as it won’t help. If we’re calmer, everything will feel easier. Planning, focus, decision making. Our brains aren’t broken, they just run differently and we need to understand that. Not punish it with more pressure. If this makes sense to you, let me know. 💜 #ADHDCoach #ADHDAwareness #Neurodivergent #ADHDSupport #ADHD

You know what’s wild? 🧐The average ADHD session in the UK is £120–£200 for 50 minutes. Sounds a little unfair, doesn’t it? 🫣What if you could access support from a certified ADHD coach… the exact strategies used in those sessions… plus group coaching & connection …at a fraction of that price? 👉I’m only this direct because this was me. Four years ago I hit rock bottom. Burnout. Emotional chaos. I made a decision that day to invest in myself & my life. Having a diagnosis without structure is like having a key without knowing how to use it. Connection & accountability change behaviour. Isolation keeps you stuck. This community is the same price as a Nando’s and a half per month. 🤩I can’t hold this offer for long- Free code for the first 4 weeks exists for 72 hrs only…. 👉If you’re ready, don’t make excuses. When I was diagnosed with ADHD, something unexpected happened. I stopped apologising. For the big dreams and impossible to-do lists. For the days I couldn’t start… and the days I couldn’t stop. For the post-it notes, the voice memos, the “sorry I’m not going to make it.” For feeling deeply and analysing everything. Diagnosis didn’t change who I am. It changed how I interpret who I am. Instead of “Why am I like this?”, it became “How does my brain work, and how do I design around it?” That’s identity repair. That’s what we do in coaching. We define your patterns. We design your thrive conditions. We stop apologising, and start building a life that fits. If you’re ready to learn your brain’s user manual, I’d love to work with you.
