Having ADHD and depression can be a very dangerous combination. Depression can leave someone feeling stuck, while ADHD can push for fast relief in the moment. That urgency to escape the low mood can create much much bigger problems. This is why treating both mental health conditions matters. You have to address both to reduce the overall risk as much as possible. #adhdawareness #depressionawareness #mentalhealthawareness #adhdstruggles #adhdproblems

Why are ADHDers so clumsy? It’s not carelessness. ADHD impacts executive functions - including coordination, spatial awareness, and attention. 👉 Your brain is constantly jumping between stimuli, so your body can miss small details… like where the table actually is. How to reduce clumsiness with ADHD: • Slow down transitions (rushing = more accidents) • Keep spaces minimal (less objects = fewer collisions) • Use “pause before move” (1-second check before standing/walking) • Don’t multitask while moving (this is a big one) If this is you… you’re not broken. Your brain just works differently 💜 Follow us for more ADHD tips & comment ADHD and I’ll send you a free test. @unique_adhd @unique_adhd @unique_adhd #adhdawareness #adhd #adhdwomen #adhdproblems #adhdsupport

Things I didn’t realise were ADHD symptoms until I was diagnosed at 25 🤯 💔 Rejection sensitivity dysphoria Feeling like people don’t like me, worrying I’ve done something wrong, not taking criticism well, and feeling completely distraught at the thought I’ve let someone down. ⏰ A terrible sense of time Overestimating or underestimating how long *everything* will take. Thinking I need 3 hours to get ready… but also believing I can finish a 2-hour task in 30 minutes. 🌀 All-or-nothing mentality Getting a huge dopamine hit from “sorting my life out,” reorganising everything, feeling totally in control… and then two days later it all falls apart and I feel like a failure. 🍓 Food struggles I get such a dopamine hit from food. I thought I just struggled more than other people, but now I realise it’s been a big source of stimulation and comfort for me. 📝 Forgetfulness If I don’t write it down, it’s gone. Forgetting what people have said, what I’ve done, and where I’ve put things has always been such a huge frustration for me. 🧠 Constant noise in my head I genuinely thought everyone had conversations, music, random thoughts and background chaos going on in their brain 24/7. It wasn’t until I tried stimulant medication that I realised just how loud it had always been in my head. 🎢 Emotional sensitivity I can feel extremely low and extremely high within the space of 30 minutes. I take things to heart, struggle to regulate my emotions, and often have to work really hard to calm myself down — from both positive *and* negative reactions. It’s harder as an adult too. People have more grace for emotional dysregulation in children, but once you grow up, that understanding often disappears. There are *so many more* I could add, but these are the first ones that came to mind. If you’ve been diagnosed with ADHD, what’s a symptom you didn’t realise was ADHD until *after* your diagnosis? #AdhdSymptoms #ADHDWomen #ADHDTips #adhdproblems

Many times high achieving ADHDers spend their life flying under the radar. People see them as quiet, perfectionistic, or “a dream to have in class.” ❤️ When they start to notice their ADHD is showing more as they mature they become more anxious. Even more fearful of asking for help because people will be so confused as to how they are struggling. “But you’re so smart.” “You don’t seem like you have ADHD.” “I don’t get it you’re so smart.” It can then feel like both realities can’t exist. Can you be smart and have ADHD? YES you can! Hit follow to learn more. #adhd #adhdmom #adhdawareness #adhdproblems #adhdwomen
