5 tips to help manage your ADHD 🧠✨ 1. Focus on movement, nutrition & sleep 🏃‍♀️🥗😴 It sounds basic, but these are the foundation for everything. Movement helps release that pent-up energy through your body instead of your brain (plus all the physical benefits). Eating mostly whole, non-UPF foods makes sure you’re actually getting the nutrients you need, especially if food is one of your dopamine tools. Sleep is the key to it all. Good sleep hygiene and a simple routine set you up for the day. 2. Create a dopamine menu 📋 This has been a game changer for getting my free time back from doomscrolling. Having a list of *go-to* feel-good activities makes it easier to start when you’re stuck in paralysis. I’ve got a full video on this, but it’s one of the best ways to bring more fulfilment into your day. 3. Do less to do more 🎯 All-or-nothing routines work, for about a week. Then one small missed habit derails everything. A shorter, realistic routine helps you prioritise what actually matters and makes consistency possible in real life. 4. Make your environment do the heavy lifting 🏡 Set your future self up the right way. Sometimes I sleep in my gym clothes so I can just get up and go. Keep things visible, pin reminders up, write lists, reduce steps wherever you can. Your environment is there to support you!!! 5. Work *with* your brain, not against it 🧠 You’re not lazy, your brain just works differently. Take short, frequent breaks. Get outside to reset. Use timers, body doubling, whatever helps you. #ADHDHacks #ADHDTips #ADHDWomen

If your mornings feel like a battle you keep losing — it's not you. It's that every morning routine you've tried was designed for a neurotypical brain. ADHD brains wake up with delayed cortisol, depleted dopamine, and a melatonin cycle that runs 90 minutes late. The standard "wake up at 5AM, cold shower, hustle" advice is literally working against your neurobiology. These 7 steps are built around how your brain actually works. Not how someone else's does. Save this for tomorrow morning. Your brain will feel different. 👇 Which one are you starting with? Drop it below. Your brain isn’t broken. It’s just really, really good at protecting you from effort 🧠 The coat on the floor? That’s not laziness. That’s your ADHD brain doing exactly what it was wired to do — choose the path of least resistance and give you a tiny hit of relief for it. “I’ll hang it up later” feels completely reasonable in the moment. But “later” becomes a pile. The pile becomes visual noise. And the visual noise becomes the anxious buzzing you feel every time you walk into a room. Here’s what actually helps ⤵️ - Lower the bar so far it almost feels ridiculous. Don’t try to tackle the whole entryway. Just hang the coat. One thing. Done. Your brain gets the win and starts craving the next one. - Make the right choice the easy choice. If hanging the coat requires 4 steps and dropping it requires zero — your brain will always choose zero. Move the hook. Put a basket right inside the door. Engineer the environment so the easy path and the right path are the same path. - Stop relying on motivation to start. Motivation comes after the action, not before. The moment you do the small thing, your brain releases dopamine. Not for finishing. For starting. That’s the trick. - Finish small before starting new. ADHD brains have a really hard time completing things. So the rule is: close the loop on the tiny thing before you open a new one. One category. One zone. One decision at a time. - Use timers, not to-do lists. A 10-minute timer gives your brain a defined container. It knows there’s an end point. That makes starting feel way less threatening. The goal isn’t a perfect home. The goal is a brain that finally has a system that works with it, not against it. That’s what I teach. And it changes everything 🥹 💬 Drop “HELP” in the comments and I’ll send you something FREE that makes it way easier to start! #adhdtips #declutteringtips #homeorganization #adhdbrain #simplifyyourhome

My 5th most shared post of 2025: Open-ended questions seem easy going but they’re actually a trap for ADHD brains. “Just let me know what works for you,” sounds simple... But trying to find “the best” time means weighing various factors and scanning through lots of other plans on the calendar ➡ which then reminds me of other stuff I have to do and prepare for. So I end up in a chain reaction of: distraction overwhelm decision fatigue ...and (ironically) zero plans. Here’s what actually helps: 📅 Offer a specific date and time. (eg.”How’s Tuesday at 3pm?”) Now, I’m just looking at one time slot and determining “yes or no.” And if that doesn’t work, I can quickly check the adjacent days/times to find an alternative. Which is SO. MUCH. EASIER. Share this with someone who needs to hear it. And drop your best calendar hacks below. #ADHDtips #BusyBrainmanual #ADHDplanning #executivefunction

ADHD Paralysis: The ONE Strategy That Actually Works Trigger Warning / Content Note: This post uses light, dry humour to talk about ADHD and task paralysis. It’s not meant to minimise anyone’s struggle or offend. The aim is to make the topic easier to relate to and understand. Please take care in viewing if humour around mental health feels sensitive for you. If you have ADHD and you’re stuck in paralysis, here’s the most effective strategy — the one that actually gets people moving again: Start with the lowest-resistance micro-task. Not the biggest task. Not the most important one. Just the easiest possible entry point your brain won’t fight. Instead of “clean the kitchen,” do: “put one cup in the sink.” Instead of “go to the gym,” do: “put on your gym clothes.” Instead of “answer emails,” do: “open the laptop.” Micro-tasks break paralysis because they’re so tiny your brain stops panicking — and once you start, momentum does the rest. If you remember one thing, let it be this: Make the first step tiny and embarrassingly easy — the rest will follow. #ADHDParalysis #ADHDTips #MentalHealthTools #ADHDHelp
