SOGrateful to have been part of the Amplify Symposium @brockuniversity this week.
Thank you to Brock University, @dr.dcp @musictherapyacademy @brockwellnessnav , the faculty, researchers, and the thoughtful student panel for creating such a meaningful space focused on student wellbeing.
It was inspiring to hear the research being shared on the impact of music therapy on student stress levels and how music can influence heart rate and happiness.
Seeing universities take such a proactive and passionate approach to supporting student wellness is truly encouraging. Brock University is doing an outstanding job at providing resources, research and a caring community culture for students!
It was an honour to share the therapeutic qualities of sound throughout the day — offering interactive moments with crystal bowls, drums, tuning forks, and metal bowls, a short talk on sound and the nervous system, and closing the symposium with a restorative sound bath.
