TIJust about calling off the search for the perfect chinos after several years! Wanted to share with you the fit and movement of my first iteration of the @daughterjudypatterns #Adamspant and they’re SO good. (I bought pattern + fabric myself). Will show you soon the diff outfits I’ve been wearing with them.
Notes:
▪️Size 2 at hip, grading up to 4 at waist based on the size chart. Got a slouchy fit which I’m embracing, but I think I prefer a more fitted waistline so next time will stay with the size 2 all over. Note: the pattern notes do talk about sizing down possibilities but I’m always afraid they’ll be too small!
▪️Took 1cm off the back inseam due to flat seat.
-▪️These are meant to be roomy in the hip and thigh, so I didn’t want to over fit and there is wrinkling. I can jump, run, squat etc with the kids at the playground and am as comfortable as if I was wearing joggers. Delighted!
◾️The back darted pockets didn’t look good on my shape so I traced off some pockets on my fave RTW jeans.
Next time: add 3cm to the legs. There will most certainly be a next time because I’m determined to find my unicorn chinos 😂 plus it’s 22 degrees here & I’m not ready to resume jeans wearing yet! Ps. My camisole is @thepatternline #WoosterBiasTop
