I can usually find a way to backbend into any day’s theme as evidenced by my posts 😉 Choosing a backbend was no easy task so I decided to stick with one of my favorites - wildthing. This accessible pose is expansive, can feel amazing, and embodies a balance of strength and grace. How to “wildthing”✨ From Down Dog, lift one leg high, bend the knee, and let the hip open. Shift into your grounded hand + foot, then softly flip your dog—placing the lifted foot behind you. Press through both feet, lift the hips, and reach your top arm overhead to create space across the front body. Think: strong foundation, lightness in the heart. Benefits: • Opens chest + shoulders • Strengthens glutes, legs, and back body • Builds shoulder stability • Energizing + mood-lifting Move with control, keep the hips lifted, and let it feel expansive—not compressed.
