90“High and Dry” is famously the hit that Radiohead—and specifically Thom Yorke—grew to despise. Originally written during Yorke’s college days with his band Headless Chickens, the track was dusted off during The Bends sessions only at the urging of their label and producers who were hunting for a commercial follow-up to “Creep.”
Yorke later dismissed the song as “f***ing dreadful,” feeling it was too “Britpop” and safe. RE🎤 Nirvana — “Lithium” (Live at Reading Festival 1992)
⚡ “Lithium” fue grabada para el álbum Nevermind (1991) y se convirtió en uno de sus singles. En el Reading Festival de 1992, Nirvana la tocó en un momento clave de su carrera, justo después de la explosión comercial del disco y en medio de los rumores sobre el estado de salud de Kurt Cobain.
🔥 Antes de comenzar el show, Cobain apareció en el escenario sentado en una silla de ruedas, empujado por el periodista Everett True. Era una parodia directa a los rumores de la prensa sobre su salud. Vestido con bata de hospital y peluca rubia, cantó unas líneas de “The Rose”, se dejó caer y luego se levantó para atacar el set.
🔥 En esta performance, el contraste entre partes suaves y agresivas es más marcado que en estudio, sobre todo en el final, donde Kurt repite “Yeah” de forma cada vez más intensa y desgarrada.
