🚗 Book your shuttle from the airport in advance. We ended up having to take a taxi to La fortuna, which was a 3 hour drive and pricey.
🌧 The weather is so unpredictable, even during dry seasons, so make sure you pack appropriately.
🎒 Pack/dress for adventure and be mindful of the weather in different regions. For example, in Monteverde, it can be a bit cooler because of the higher altitude. You'll most likely be doing a lot of outdoor activities, so bring proper shoes! It is better to pack shorts/pants instead of dresses depending on what you have planned.
🥙 Eat at Sodas instead of big chain restaurants. Sodas are little family owned restaurants owned by locals. You get very authentic Costa rican food, and it's way cheaper.
🏝 If you're planning to visit Tabacon Hot Springs, book in advance! Spots filled up quickly, particularly during peak tourist season. You can book a night stay or get a day pass.
