Autoimmune Awareness Month 🤍 I live with Hashimoto’s, an autoimmune condition that affects the thyroid. Since being diagnosed I’ve been able to connect with women, in my own circle even, who had my same condition for support. What many people don’t realize is that about 80% of autoimmune diseases affect women, yet many of us spend years trying to understand what’s happening in our bodies. There are over 100 autoimmune diseases, and so many people live with symptoms that are invisible to others. This month is about awareness, education, and reminding anyone navigating this that you’re not alone. Trust your body. Advocate for your health! #autoimmuneawareness #hashimotos #womenshealth #healthadvocacy #thyroidhealth

WE are living proof @realbarbaraoneill 🎥: @thekungroup Don’t miss today’s (previous reel) LIVE testimonial from @pinagurl suffering with severe pain for 15 years — to symptom-free in 6 weeks with the Feast to Wellness Protocol. Here’s why, explained super simply. Your sacred body does not randomly decide to attack itself. That just doesn’t make sense. Your body is smart. It’s always trying to protect you. So when something goes wrong, it’s usually reacting to something that happened first. Think of it like this. If you touch a hot stove, your hand pulls away. That’s not your body hurting you — that’s your body helping you. The same idea applies here. Something changed… ⤵️ Food. Stress. Chemicals. Emotions. Environment. Instead of asking “what disease do I have?” Try asking: When did this start? What changed around that time? What is my body reacting to? When you understand the why, you can change what happens next. And healing suddenly feels possible instead of scary. If you want exact, simple steps for living symptom-free through food and a non-toxic lifestyle, start here at autoimmunediseaseawareness.com ✨ #autoimmuneawareness #foodasmedicine #rootcausehealing #healingjourney #symptomfree

We can be so hard on ourselves for the small inconveniences we cause in a day. We forget to acknowledge our second job of managing our chronic illness. Anyone else do this? Comment, and share with a chronic illness friend so we can all feel less alone in this. I don’t know about you but my brain is always working in overdrive. Between all the daily must dos, the appointments, insurance, concerns, treatments….mistakes are bound to be made. I struggle with perfectionism and I used to beat myself up over things like forgetting to take my meds. “I should be doing better” “I should know better by now“ But stop shoulding all over yourself and realize your are trying your best and that is good enough. Let’s be more forgiving and recognize that trying our best is good enough. Share this with an autoimmune friend who could use this reminder 🫂 - - - #ChronicIllness #MultipleSclerosis #AutoimmuneDisease #ChronicIllnessAwareness #MSWarrior #AutoimmuneCommunity #AutoimmuneAwareness #AutoimmuneSupport #ChronicIllnessSupport #LivingWithChronicIllness #MultipleSclerosisAwareness #ChronicIllnessWarrior #AutoimmuneConditions #AutoimmuneDiseases #Lupus #Diabetes #Arthritis #Fibromyalgia #Endometriosis #InvisibleIllness #ThisIsMs #MsConnections #MsSupport #Spoonie #SpoonieSupport #SpoonieLife #Disability #InvisibleIllness

🧬 AUTOIMMUNE RED FLAGS 9 Silent signs your body shows long before diagnosis Wellness Education • Early Awareness • Preventive Health Autoimmune conditions often begin quietly — long before clear medical labels appear. These subtle signs are often ignored or misattributed to stress, lifestyle, or “normal tiredness.” Recognizing them early can prevent years of silent damage and delayed diagnosis. 1. Chronic fatigue Persistent exhaustion that rest doesn’t fix. A deep, cellular-level tiredness linked to immune overactivation and mitochondrial stress. 2. Frequent infections Catching colds often, slow healing, repeated illnesses — a sign of immune system imbalance, not just “low immunity.” 3. Joint stiffness without injury Morning stiffness, finger/knee pain, or joint tightness with no trauma history — early inflammatory signaling. 4. Brain fog Poor focus, forgetfulness, mental fatigue, slow thinking — often due to neuroinflammation and immune–brain interaction. 5. Digestive disturbances Bloating, IBS-like symptoms, food sensitivities, reflux — the gut is a major immune organ, and dysfunction is an early warning sign. 6. Skin changes Rashes, eczema, hives, pigmentation changes, unexplained itching — immune activity often manifests through the skin. 7. Hair thinning or hair fall Sudden shedding, weak roots, patchy loss — immune stress on follicles and nutrient malabsorption. 8. Cold hands and feet Poor circulation, numbness, tingling, color changes — vascular and autoimmune overlap symptoms. 9. Hormonal imbalances Irregular cycles, thyroid-like symptoms, PCOS-like signs — immune–endocrine axis disruption. ✨ Autoimmune diseases whisper before they scream. Early awareness creates early protection, prevention, and better long-term outcomes. #AutoimmuneAwareness #HiddenSymptoms #EarlyDetection #WellnessEducation #PreventiveHealth

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been having a reoccurring flareup that has literally made my life very difficult. I’ve been exhausted, in pain, and honestly I didn’t know the cause of it. Every time I talked to somebody about it, they tried to come up with a cause. I didn’t know the cause, and talking to them just made me more frustrated over the fact that I didn’t know. I share this today ironically because I did finally figure out what’s causing the flareup. Hopefully in the next week or so I’ll start to feel a lot better! Just as a reminder to anyone who is curious about autoimmune disorders: people are not lying to you when they say they don’t know because a lot of times you just don’t know. It’s one of the most frustrating parts about having an autoimmune disorder. Sometimes, you just don’t know why your body is behaving the way it is! The best thing you can do is try to listen to your body, and sometimes the only solution is just to wait it out. So be gentle with yourself and/or your friends with autoimmune disorders who tell you that they don’t feel good - even though you may not see or understand it. Trust them. Don’t make them explain, because they may not be able to and that is the most difficult and frustrating part. #autoimmune #autoimmunedisease #autoimmuneawareness #selfcare

I don’t want it to be lupus either. But this is the part that keeps getting missed. There is no single test that diagnoses lupus. It’s identified through patterns over time. Symptoms, physical exams, labs, and how the disease behaves. Because of that, most people are not diagnosed during their first flare. On average, it takes five to six years from first symptoms to a formal lupus diagnosis. Many people see multiple doctors and are misdiagnosed along the way. Not because they aren’t sick, but because the disease doesn’t check every box all at once. The diagnostic criteria most clinicians rely on were created for research classification, not early clinical care. They often require multiple findings across different systems, accumulated over time. Which means many people don’t “qualify” until flares repeat or damage becomes harder to ignore. So people live for years being told what it isn’t, while their body keeps signaling that something is wrong. Symptoms can be real, visible, and disruptive long before labs finally catch up. That gap isn’t rare. It’s built into the system. And it explains why so many people with autoimmune disease feel dismissed long before they’re believed. #AutoimmuneAwareness #ChronicIllnessLife #InvisibleIllness #MedicalGaslighting #LupusAwareness

“You don’t look sick.” This sentence sounds harmless, but for someone living with autoimmune disease, it can feel very dismissive. Because many autoimmune conditions are invisible illnesses. People don’t see: • the constant fatigue • the joint stiffness • the inflammation • the flare days Just because someone looks fine doesn’t mean their body isn’t fighting a battle. Let’s be kinder and more understanding 🤍 Comment 💛 if you or someone you know relates to this.
