Recentemente o governo das Bahamas resolveu aumentar sua arrecadação tarifando os ricos. Subiu o imposto sobre iates e barcos de luxo. O que rapidamente aconteceu foi o colapso deste mercado e de boa parte da economia que depende do turismo. Até o tradicional Boat Show foi cancelado. Empresas mudaram seus intinerários, desemprego cresceu.
Aqui no Brasil, com a reforma tributária, o importo sobre locação de curta duração (AirBNB) vai para inacreditáveis 44%, mais que o triplo da taxa caribenha.
Mesmo antes de entrar em vigor já sentimos o impacto com investidores desistindo de compras e a liquidez sendo afetada. Afinal, não faz sentido o governo ficar com metade de sua receita e você com todos os custos.
Ao invés de cortar gastos para equilibrar as contas, o Brasil optou por estrangular o empresário. Neste caso, a tarifa é altíssima pois enquadraram como hospedagem que tem alto percentual. No ranking global de turismo, constantemente nem aparecemos entre os 50 primeiros e iniciativas assim devem agravar a situação.
O investidor típico de studios é a pessoa física que consegue ao longo dos anos de trabalho adquirir uma ou mais unidades como forma de no futuro compor o renda adicional. A conta não irá mais fechar, ainda mais com as taxas estratosféricas de juros.
