Save for your Bali trip if you want to get off the beaten path. Go to Sidemen for a few days of slow travel. Trek around the terraced fields. Take a cooking class in an organic garden. Eat the delicious local food. Finish that book. Get a massage surrounded by farms. The long drive to this little piece of paradise was certainly worth it for me. Very few fellow tourists, such a stark contrast from places like Seminyak and Ubud. This is the kind of place you go to just be versus somewhere you go to check off some list (no swings here).
