Somanna Minister of State for Jal Shakti Key Highlights: 🔹 Strategic Funding: Under SBM(G) Phase II, districts can receive up to ₹50 lakh for setting up community or cluster-based biogas plants. 🔹 Biomass Aggregation: A total outlay of ₹564.75 crore is earmarked for procurement of Biomass Aggregation Machinery (BAM) to support CBG producers. 🔹 Pipeline Development: To facilitate CBG offtake, ₹994.5 crore has been allocated for the Development of Pipeline Infrastructure (DPI) through FY 2028-29. 🔹 Leading States: Maharashtra (₹46.94 crore), Andhra Pradesh (₹45 crore), and Madhya Pradesh (₹45 crore) are among the top recipients of sanctioned financial assistance for CBG projects. 🔹 Waste to Wealth: The initiative converts animal waste, kitchen leftovers, and crop residue into biogas and bio-slurry, promoting a circular economy. 🔹 Awareness & Monitoring: Real-time data is tracked on the GOBARdhan portal, supported by nationwide workshops for farmers and entrepreneurs.
