Read Below ⬇️ I know it’s hard to keep up with everyone on social media these days but here are some ways you could continue and nurture your existing connections. 1. Like or comment on their posts. This is probably the easiest way and it doesn’t even take much time. Even if their posts don’t align with your personal interests, support them anyway coz they’re putting themselves out there, and that can be nerve wracking. So go ahead and click like… Unless of course, you’re secretly a hater, haha! 2. Celebrate their successes publicly. I mean, people are not mind readers so let them know you’re proud of their work. Note, don’t just celebrate the “big” accomplishments like not everyone gets nominated for an Oscars, but celebrate even if the accolades may not be that popular or prominent. Remember, it’s about amplifying the underrepresented! 3. Support their work by actually consuming what they are offering. If they’re a film director, go watch their films. Book writer? Buy their books and so on. 4. Send them occasional DMs. It can be as simple as “hey just letting you know that I’m thinking about you.” Or if there’s a holiday or event like AAPI Heritage month, Pride month—greet them. Bonus if you send them articles that are relevant to their work! 5. In my case, I use my podcast to interview and get to know them! Bonus: I’m actually going to start posting a series called “Collaborator Spotlight” it’s a good way to give a shoutout to past colleagues and nurture your relationships.. stay tuned for that!!! For now, happy posting, and don’t be a hater or clout chaser! 😂

The other day I was trying to film a video of myself & my five year old daughter came walking over and asked what I was doing. I told her, and she was like “I can take the video for you!” When she finished I thanked her and gave her a big hug and kiss and told her I was going to get back to writing. She started to walk away and said, “It’s cool that you’re a book writer.” 1. I hope she always thinks I’m cool. 2. I hope she always offers a helping hand to others. 3. Varis was a book writer, while Lauren was a painter. In recent years, their relationship had become somewhat strained. Varis' work demanded a lot from him and he began to hate writing - something he used to enjoy. This caused them to become somewhat distant from each other, and then the unthinkable happened. One random day, Lauren gets into a car accident that takes his life. The car seemed to veer off the road, but it unclear whether or not his death was a suicide or just an accident. Varis' world suddenly becomes upside down, and the guilt he feels from his death becomes all he can ever think about. Varis develops depression and hides himself away in his once-shared home out of grief. Something strange begins to happen when Varis sleeps at night. His dreams are vivid and they feel real. His dreams seem to continue where they leave off from the previous night like a fairytale. The first dream, he wakes up in a medieval-like fantasy world and meets...Lauren? No, it's not Lauren - not exactly. This dream-Lauren claims to be a knight for a kingdom Varis once ruled as king. The previous king (Varis) was usurped from his throne by an infamous individual named Nikolai who proclaimed himself as the new king. Sir Lauren refused this, and left the kingdom on his own to go find his rightful king. The story develops more, and former-king Varis and Sir Lauren grow closer. The real Varis prefers being in this dream world with his husband (even if not real) and begins to rely on it to cope. Will Varis learn to let go? And how will he deal with the intrusive thoughts that invade his dreams? #dtiys #art
