These Two sisters created a product in their own kitchen that has now become a ₹500 crore brand. While living in the US, Suhasini and Anindita regularly consumed protein bars and wondered why India didn’t have healthy yet tasty alternatives. That question led them to experiment back home. They developed their own protein bar recipes, took real feedback from consumers, and in 2014 officially launched YogaBar. The bigger challenge wasn’t making the product, but selling it. Indian retailers initially rejected it, saying that taste sells food, not health. Instead of giving up, the founders started gifting YogaBar hampers to retailers and their families. Once people actually tasted the product, retailers realized it wasn’t just healthy, but genuinely delicious and also offered better margins. Slowly, YogaBar began getting priority shelf space. Their colorful, aesthetic packaging further attracted consumers, and the brand soon became popular among health-conscious buyers.
