DRCHPE stands for Certificate of Health Professional Education.
Alot of universities offer this but I chose NUMS for myself .
🌟Introduction
NUMS CHPE program has been designed for health professionals’ educationists to acquaint them with the basic concepts of teaching and learning, curriculum design, and assessment so that they can apply these concepts at their institutions
🌟Eligibility Criteria:
a. Sixteen years of education in the discipline of:
• MBBS/BDS or equivalent
• BS Nursing 4 year’s Program
• BS Allied Health Sciences
b. Valid registration with regulatory body if applicable.
🌟 Fee
60000 pkr
🌟 Online/Face to face ?
Most of the course is online . But they conduct face to face classes for 1 week in your nearest centre (but if you cannot attend dua to genuine reason , you can always request them)
🌟 Syllabus
4 Modules
ALTA (adult learning theories )
CPE ( curriculum planning and evaluation)
EBTL (Evidence based teaching and Learning )
AFL (Assessment for learning)
🌟Assessment
There is an exam at the end . It is on site but if you have any genuine issue , you can take it online .
🌟 Role in CV
PG Cert in teaching are considered very helpful for improving your CV and your teaching abilities.
🌟 Role in NHS
For some trainings , this can help you make a better portfolio and you might get marks for this .
