This is one of the coolest national park hikes in all of California! The adventurous trail consists of narrow passageways through a cavernous wonderland! Currently, water is flowing through the cave system, resulting in several streams and cascades that you can see as you meander your way through the giant boulders. This flow won’t last forever as we approach spring and summer. It is essential to bring a headlamp as certain portions are pitch dark. There are seasonal closures at this location, so it is important to always check the national Park website before heading out there. From the Bear Creek campground parking area, it is only a 1.3 mile hike to get to the Bear Gulch Caves. However, you should consider spending a whole day out here and exploring the other adventurous trails! 🐻 @across.the.land for content beyond CA #california #travelcalifornia #explorecalifornia #pinnacles #nationalpark

I don’t repeat hikes often, but when I do, it’s ones like this 😌👇 follow @teeseestheworld for more california side quests, bucket-list hikes, and national park itineraries✌️🏔️ our next california side quest series brings us to one of my all time favorite hikes in the state. pinnacles national park might be the smallest national park in California, but it packs in some of the most unique landscapes—massive rock spires, hidden caves, and if you’re lucky, a condor soaring overhead. the best hike there is 📍 condor gulch to high peaks loop (5.3mi, 1,600 ft gain)—an epic route that takes you through narrow rock-cut staircases, insane viewpoints, and through dark talus caves where bats sometimes nest 🦇 📝 pro tips: 1️⃣ given it’s just over 2hrs from the Bay area, parking fills up fast on the weekends—get there by 9 AM if you don’t want to take a shuttle or park far away! 2️⃣ bring a headlamp if you plan to explore the talus caves 🔦 3️⃣ this is one of the best places to spot california condors in the wild—bring your binoculars! have you been to Pinnacles national park? share this with someone you’d go condor spotting with 🦅 #pinnaclesnationalpark #visitcalifornia #hikingadventures #bucketlisthikes best hikes in pinnacles national park, california hidden gems, things to do in pinnacles, bay area weekend getaways, where to hike near San Jose

These 4 California hikes all feel like pure imagination… But obviously, they’re real, they’re amazing, and you’ll love them 😍 Here’s all the details! Make sure you save them for later. 4️⃣ Russian Gulch Waterfall Loop – 📍 Russian Gulch State Park. – 🥾 4.2 miles loop. – ⛰️ 639 ft elevation gain. – ⏱️ 2-3 hours. This one feels like a hidden jungle. Fern-covered canyon walls, towering redwoods, and a waterfall tucked deep in the forest… it just keeps getting better the further you go. Go after rain for peak flow. 3️⃣ Rockefeller Loop Trail – 📍 Humboldt Redwoods State Park. – 🥾 0.6 miles loop. – ⛰️ 36 ft elevation gain. – ⏱️ <1 hour. Short, easy, and absolutely mind-blowing. You’re walking through some of the tallest trees on Earth, and photos don’t even come close to capturing the scale. This is one of those places that makes you feel tiny in the best way. 2️⃣ Burney Falls Loop – 📍 McArthur-Burney Falls Memorial State Park. – 🥾 1.1 miles loop. – ⛰️ 170 ft elevation gain. – ⏱️ ~1 hour. This isn’t just a waterfall… it’s a work of art! Springs pour through the entire cliff face, creating dozens of cascading streams. It flows year-round, and yes, it actually looks like this in real life. 1️⃣ Limekiln Falls Trail – 📍 Limekiln State Park. – 🥾 1.3 miles out & back. – ⛰️ 232 ft elevation gain. – ⏱️ <1 hour. Redwoods, a creek, and historic lime kilns at the end. It feels straight out of a fantasy film… and the historic lime kilns make it even more unique. It’s one of Big Sur’s most underrated stops. If you made it this far, you probably love exploring California! Comment BUCKET below, and I’ll send you a link to get my free CA Bucket List Guide! Looking for a beautiful and easy hike? You’ve got to check out Point Lobos State Preserve in Carmel 😊 There are many excellent trails to hike at Point Lobos. The last time we went, we did the full loop, which is about 6 miles. 🌲 You’ll hike through beautiful forests. 🏖️ Find beautiful beaches. 🦦 And spot amazing wildlife! Weather it’s sunny or gloomy, you’ll have a great time. In fact, a foggy day can make the experience so much more intense and moody. In a good way! Layer up though! It can get cold! Especially when blanketed in fog. Have you hiked Point Lobos yet? Do you prefer it on a sunny or gloomy day? 🤔 🚗 Parking is $10 per vehicle, and can fill up fast! There is free street parking outside the reserve. 🐶🚫 Sorry! No dogs allowed! If you want my full California Bucket List Guide, comment BUCKET, and I’ll send it over to you!
