PUThe most surreal experience: Pearl River cruise, Guangzhou, China
The Pearl river, the third largest river in China and the main river of Guangzhou.
This river played a significant historical role in the development of the city. Besides that, the Pearl river estuary is famous for being home for rare humpback dolphins also known as Chinese white dolphins.
And you can even spot the mascots of China’s 15th National Games 2025 that took place in Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao – these are white and pink dolphins called Xiyangyang and Lerongrong!
Cruises usually start from the wharfs right under the Canton tower – there are plenty of options available, including ones with a dinner. We went for a 50 min scenic tour with snacks, and booked the tickets via @getyourguide to the upper floor of our cruise boat in advance to get the best view possible.
And I must say, the view was just crazy! You watch the light show on the Liede bridge and the striking illumination on the skyscrapers on both sides of the river. Probably, one of the most futuristic experiences I’ve ever had in my life!

VOГлавной достопримечательностью Гуанчжоу является Кантонская телебашня.
Её невозможно не заметить — изящная, закрученная форма, которая стала символом города. Башню построили к Азиатским играм 2010 года, её высота — 600 метров, и какое-то время она была самой высокой телебашней в мире.
Но не все знают, откуда именно с неё открываются самые сильные виды на город.
Самая топовая точка — это уровень около 480 метров, и попасть туда можно только с дополнительным подъёмом. Многие ограничиваются стандартными уровнями и даже не догадываются про это место.
Именно отсюда открывается самый чистый и масштабный вид — город без преград, без лишнего, максимально открытый.
Каждый вечер примерно в 19:30 начинается лазерное шоу. Лучи уходят в небо, отражаются в стекле небоскрёбов — и в этот момент Гуанчжоу превращается в настоящий футуризм.
Сама башня — это не просто архитектура, а продуманная инженерия. Её гиперболоидная форма делает конструкцию устойчивой к ветрам, при этом визуально она остаётся лёгкой и изящной. Местные называют её «талией Сяомань» — за плавный, изогнутый силуэт.
