Born in Akron, Ohio (1988) to NBA veteran Dell Curry, Stephen Curry was overlooked by major college programs due to his slender frame. He chose Davidson College, where he became a national sensation—averaging 21.5 PPG as a freshman and leading the Wildcats to the Elite Eight in 2008 with a series of legendary March Madness performances.
