SAside quest of the day 🌟🌟 making a signal processing app that generates echoes!
We did something similar for my college class, but I wanted to understand the math a bit better so I used Codex to make this visualisation software
💡In math terms, an echo is a delayed copy of the signal. You take a sound, wait a bit, then play it back — the more energy gets fed back, and the echo becomes more noticeable.
Codex is a coding agent built to handle real engineering work with minimal supervision. Which means I can go to psets (and do my laundry) without prompting it all the time. It just launched for Windows, so go try it out!

@openai just dropped a major update to Codex.
Here are some of the new features:
- Computer use: Codex gets its own cursor and can click through your actual Mac apps, test flows, and flag issues without you touching anything.
- ImageGen: Built-in image generation (gpt-image-1.5) generates images for real work, like creating assets for slides, mockups, UI, and games
- In-app browser: Preview and test UI, view artifacts for docs, sheets, and slides. Faster build, review, iterate loop

DIChatGPT just did something I didn’t it could!
I though the new GPT 5.5 was just a model release until it did something I wasn’t expecting it to
The trick is see it as an agent model and not as a chat model
I’ve had this task to update my media kit with my new accounts being pushed back for a month so test the model I just asked GPT 5.5 inside codes to go do it for me l, it pulled my accounts, key metrics, updates my bio, my rates all with just the intent in my prompt (I honestly didn’t think it could do it)
Then to pressure test it l, I gave it a screenshot of some to-dos from my business accounting software and just asked it to go dig through my emails and just go do the task
it can actually did those tasks really fast without any fancy prompting - just the intent of what you want it to do
That being said, if you’re using this new model for chatting, you won’t see much difference (except for some goblins maybe)
