Homemade Chili Crunch🌶️🧄🔥🧅 Makes about 4 x 6-ounce jars (24 ounces total) For links to everything used in the video, comment “links” and I’ll send it to your inbox✨ Ingredients: * ½ cup dried garlic (68g) * ½ cup dried onions (47g) * ½ cup red chili flakes (36g) * ½ cup toasted sesame seeds (46g) * ⅛ cup sugar (26g) * 1 tsp salt (6g) * 1 tbsp paprika (7g) * ¼ cup soy sauce (60ml) * 2½ cups avocado oil (590ml) Instructions: 1. In a large heatproof bowl, combine the dried garlic, dried onions, chili flakes, sesame seeds, sugar, salt, paprika, and soy sauce. 2. Heat the avocado oil in a saucepan until it reaches 340°F (171°C). 3. Carefully pour the hot oil over the bowl of ingredients. It will bubble — this is where the magic happens! 4. Stir well to combine, then let it sit and settle for about 10 minutes. 5. Once slightly cooled, pour the mixture evenly into four 6-ounce jars, making sure both the oil and solids are evenly distributed. 6. Store in the refrigerator.

HOMEMADE CHILI GARLIC CRUNCH 🧄🌶️ I have always loved Trader Joe’s Chili Onion Crunch. It’s one of those things I would grab “just in case” and then somehow end up putting on everything. But the more I used it, the more I wanted to try making my own version at home — fresher, customizable, and without any preservatives. So of course… I had to figure it out. This homemade chili garlic crunch is bold, garlicky, a little sweet, a little tangy, perfectly spicy — and honestly? I may love it even more than the original. . INGREDIENTS 3 cups avocado oil (or any neutral oil) ¾ cup dried minced garlic ½ cup dried minced onion ½ cup Korean red chili flakes (or regular dried red chili flakes) ½ cup toasted sesame seeds ½ cup honey (or sugar) 1 teaspoon salt 1 tablespoon paprika ⅓ cup soy sauce ¼ cup rice wine vinegar . DIRECTIONS Heat the avocado oil over medium-high heat until hot but not smoking. . In a large heatproof bowl, combine the dried garlic, dried onion, chili flakes, sesame seeds, honey (or sugar), salt, and paprika. . Carefully pour the hot oil over the mixture. It will sizzle — that’s exactly what you want. Stir until everything is well combined. . Let the mixture cool completely. Once cooled, stir in the soy sauce and rice wine vinegar. . Transfer to a jar or airtight container with a lid. Refrigerate until needed. . This will keep in the refrigerator for up to 3 months. . Pro Tip: Set out 1 hour before using to liquify.

This Chili Crisp Makes Everything Taste Better! 🤤 RECIPE Ingredients - 1½ cup neutral oil - 1 shallot - 1/3 cup garlic cloves (chopped roughly) - 1” knob of ginger (sliced thinly and crushed) - ¼ cup red pepper flakes - 1 tbsp smoked paprika - 1 tbsp sesame seeds (toasted) - 1 tbsp brown sugar - 1 tbsp soy sauce - 1 tsp kosher salt - ½ tsp msg (sub: chicken or mushroom powder) Instructions 1. Toast sesame seeds in a pan till golden brown. 2. Add ginger to oil in a saucepan and heat on medium-low until you start seeing tiny bubbles (6-7 minutes). 3. While waiting for ginger to perfume the oil, finely chop garlic and slice the shallot into thin strands. 4. Take the ginger out and add the garlic and shallot. Lower heat to low and cook for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and crispy. 5. While the garlic and shallot cook, in a separate heat-proof bowl, add in red pepper flakes, sesame seeds, smoked paprika, brown sugar, salt and soy sauce. 6. Add the hot oil with garlic and shallots to the bowl and mix thoroughly. 7. Cool to room temp before adding to container and/or eating. Homemade Chilli Crisp🌶️ Makes 1 jar Ingredients: ∙ ½ cup neutral oil ( I prefer Olive Oil) ∙ 3 shallots, thinly sliced ∙ 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced ∙ 3 tbsp chilli flakes ∙ 2 tbsp soy sauce ∙ 1 tsp sesame oil ∙ 2 tbsp peanuts or sesame seeds (or both 👀) ∙ 1 tsp sugar ∙ Salt to taste Method: 1. Fry shallots and garlic in neutral oil on low-medium heat until golden and crispy. Be patient — don’t rush this step. 2. Remove from heat and immediately stir in chilli flakes, peanuts/sesame seeds, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar and salt. 3. Let it sizzle, cool completely, then jar it up. Lasts 2 weeks in the fridge — if it makes it that long. 😏 Put it on eggs, rice, noodles, toast, your finger… no judgement. Save this 🔖 and tag me when you make it! Recipe - Ingredients- 13 Cloves Garlic 2 Shallots Couple Handfuls Peanuts 500ml Neutral Oil 2 Star Anise 1 Tablespoon Coriander Seeds 2 Bay Leaves 1 Cinnamon Stick 1 Knob Of Ginger 2 Tablespoon Black Vinegar 1 Tablespoon Sichuan Peppercorn Powder (I ground up peppercorns) 2 Tablespoons Gochugaru (Korean Chilli Flakes I didn’t have so I used Togarashi which is Japanese chilli) 1 Tablespoon Chilli Flakes 1 Teaspoon Salt + MSG 1 Tablespoon Sugar Finely slice one shallot and 10 cloves garlic 5. Add 500ml neutral oil to a pot and add in the shallots. Fry till golden and crisp, then remove. Add garlic to the same oil and repeat. Add blanched peanuts to the same oil and repeat - set all crunchy bits aside In the same oil, add in 1 knob ginger, 3 cloves garlic, 2 star anise, 1 cinnamon stick, 1tbsp corriander seed, 2 bay leaves - leave to infuse on med heat ~15 mins then strain and remove aromatics To a metal bowl, add 2tbsp gochugaru, 1tsp sichuan peppercorn powder, 1tsp chilli flake, 1tbsp sugar, 1tsp sea salt, 1tsp MSG - mix with 1tbsp black vinegar Heat infused oil to 375f, then carefully add ladle by ladle to seasonings and stir. I use a gentle heat method for this chili oil instead of pouring super-hot oil, I slowly heat the oil with the spices. It prevents burning, keeps the flavor clean, and makes it easier to digest. ⸻ Ingredients ⤵︎ 1/4 cup chili flakes 1 tbsp paprika powder 1 tsp cayenne powder 1 tsp garlic powder 1/2 tsp sea salt 1/2 cup avocado oil After cooking (optional but recommended): 1/2 tsp sesame seeds ⸻ Instructions ⤵︎ Mix all ingredients (except sesame seeds) in an air-fryer-safe bowl. Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 6–8 minutes, stirring halfway. Let cool completely, then stir in sesame seeds.
