This is the first new vehicle I have ever bought. Usually I buy 20yr old $2000 pieces of junk with crank windows and no AC that need a lot for work so this is refreshing. This is my 2025 GMC 2500 with a 6.6l Duramax Diesel!
This is the first job I’ve done, her very first oil change. I also did an oil analysis (results at end of video) and plan to do one every oil change to track what changes there are! And yes you can do your own maintenance and keep the warranty as long as you document it (receipts, mileage, and pics work perfect).
Since she’s under warranty, I won’t be doing too much to her. She’s almost fully spec’d out with the AT4 package and I guess I have a thing for red card lol. I’ve only tinted her so far… im thinking of adding a tonneau cover, maybe a front off-road bumper with a winch, and some LED lights. Am I missing anything?

CHBringing your car in for a full synthetic oil change is getting very expensive so I partnered with Mobil1 to show you how to easily do it yourself. I bought everything on Amazon and I will link the tools and products in my bio so you can easily find them. I am using Mobil1’s 0w20 which has additives designed specifically for cars over 75k miles and this oil protects up to 20k miles between oil changes but make sure you change your oil based on your manufacturer’s recommendations. When changing your oil you also want to make sure you replace the crush washer to prevent leaks and make sure you change the oil filter and O-ring every time you do an oil change so any dirt or debris in the oil can get filtered out and wont cause wear in the engine. Oil changes are fun and easy to do and in this case I am able to use high quality oil and a high quality filter and still save money over having a shop do it for me!

CHChanging your brakes is a great project that you can do yourself to save a lot of money and know the job is done right. It is a lot easier than you would think. I bought all my brake pads and rotors off of @ebaymotors as well as a few other supporting products like brake cleaner and medium strength thread locker. The basic process is:
1. Safely lift vehicle, support via jack stands, and remove wheels
2. Unbolt the caliper and remove old pads
3. Unbolt caliper bracket and remove rotor
4. Clean hub and install new rotor
5. Torque down caliper bracket and install new brake hardware
6. Install brake pads and caliper and torque to spec
7. Reinstall wheel, lower car to the ground, pump brakes a few times to make sure your pedal is solid before driving
Always replace brake pads in pairs (per axle).

CHHere is EVERYTHING you should check on your car before a road trip so you don’t get stranded.
1. Check Fluids
-windshield washer fluid
-coolant level
-brake fluid level
-engine oil level and how many miles are on your oil
-fill up with fuel the night before (use @shellstationsus Vpower NiTRO+ to clean fuel system) #Sponsored
2. Check Tires
-Make sure you have at least 4/32in (3mm) of tread depth. Anything below 4/32 you should not be taking on a road trip.
-Check tire pressure (door jam sticker for proper pressure)
-CHECK SPARE TIRE (pressure and jack)
3. Check Wiper Blades
-Are they cracked or ripped
-Do they skip or leave streaks
4. Battery
-Make sure connections are clean and tight
-Load test the battery to check health
5. Check Lights
-Headlights and high beams
-Tail lights and brake lights
-License plate lights
-Turn signals
6. EMERGENCY SUPPPLIES
-Tire plug kit
-Tire inflator
-Jumper pack or jumper cables
-Flashlight
-Small tool kit
-First aid kit
-Paper towels
-phone charger and charging cables
These are some really quick things to check and the basics that will keep your car safe on the road for your road trip. It is definitely worth checking before you leave.

CHSad to see the family van go but she’s in the good hands of @carsofqueens. With over 300k miles the van has been in the family since she was new and it’s amazing what a little maintenance like 5k mile oil changes can do.
Since the tires were dry rotted and dangerous, I got some @nittotire grapplers which will be perfect for the van! I cannot wait to see her restored!
