MILife became so much sweeter once I understood this.
Friendships with brothers and sisters in the faith hit different. Being a Christian isn’t just one part of our life it’s the foundation of it. And when we’re saved by Christ, it’s not only a vertical relationship with the Father. We’re also brought into the body of Christ and given a spiritual family. That’s when life becomes both vertical and horizontal connected to God and deeply connected to His people.
Christian community will unlock sides of you that you didn’t even know were there. The good, the hard, the stretching, the healing, all of it for the glory of God. Because this is exactly what we were created for: to walk this journey together, not alone.
This doesn’t mean cutting off people who aren’t in the faith. Love everyone. But be intentional about who’s in your inner circle. Make sure the people closest to you are the ones who push you closer to Christ, not further from Him.
