CHA 33-year-old man has died following a fire at a Choa Chu Kang flat in the early hours of Thursday (Mar 19).
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to the blaze at Block 763 Choa Chu Kang North 5 at about 3am, where the man was found lying motionless in the unit and pronounced dead at the scene.
A 61-year-old woman from the affected unit was also taken to hospital.
About 70 residents were evacuated by the police and SCDF as a precautionary measure. The cause of the fire is under investigation. #singapore #sgnews

DE🇧🇭 - The Ministry of Interior, through the Civil Defence, is dealing with damage in three buildings in Manama and Muharraq as a result of drone attacks and falling debris from an intercepted missile.
The first building has been evacuated, and the fire has been brought under control, with one minor case of smoke inhalation treated on site.
Firefighting and security operations are underway at the second site, while an assessment of the material damage to the third building caused by falling debris from an intercepted missile is underway.

SIAn 85-year-old man is cooperating with police after driving his car onto pedestrian walkways and corridors inside a building at the National University of Singapore (NUS) Faculty of Engineering on 6 February.
Footage shared on social media shows the vehicle moving along narrow corridors and sheltered walkways, coming close to students seated at tables. The car eventually stopped outside a food stall, where bystanders and security personnel gathered. A Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) ambulance was also present at the scene.
According to police, they were alerted to the incident at 12.15pm at 2 Engineering Drive 3. The driver is assisting authorities as investigations into negligence continue. No serious injuries have been reported.
The SCDF confirmed that one person was assessed for minor injuries but refused transport to a hospital. It is unclear if the individual assessed was the driver. NUS also stated that no students or staff were harmed during the incident.
Police investigations are ongoing.
